The Sanctuary's Dawn Chorus Event

(27 Apr 2020)

Sunday May 3rd at 4:45am | Your Back Garden

THE SANCTUARY SALUTES OUR CAREGIVERS ON MAY 3RD FOR THE DAWN CHORUS

#CARINGFORTHECAREGIVERS

As the world is forced to stand still, we have an extraordinary opportunity to tune into the ordinary beauty of life around us, a chance for renewal and gratitude, for nature and our Caregivers.

The Sanctuary will be encouraging everyone to enjoy the beautiful Dawn Chorus on May 3rd.  You don`t have to travel to experience it; it can and should be listened to from your own home, whether that be from an open window, a balcony or your garden.  We can all join together in Homage to the Nations’ Caregivers.

The Sanctuary will host a Facebook Live Mindful practice at 4:45 am that will lead into the Dawn Chorus. We are inviting you all to join in.

Why not record your own Dawn Chorus and send it to us and we will include them on our Facebook page, for all to share? Use the hashtag  #caringforthecaregivers

This event is in aid of our Caring for the Caregivers program: A Mindfulness Programme for Compassionate Self-Care

Caring for the Caregivers

In the midst of this pandemic, it is now that we should be doing all that we can in preparing to look after the well-being of carers working on the front-line.

The Sanctuary has been doing just that by developing and delivering mindfulness and meditation courses to carers for some time now. We have worked with many different social care, youth and medical teams with a vision to help and support those most in need. As part of this vision, we have designed the Mindfully Compassionate Wellbeing Programme for those working in the caring field.

We need your donations so that we can reach out and offer it to as many organisations as possible in this time of need. Especially for those organisations who do not have the resources.
