Waiting for the Light: A Winter Reflection

(26 Oct 2022)

This event is ONLINE

Once again, this December, The Sanctuary invites you to join us for a month-long online Winter reflection that coincides with Advent. We will explore the benefits of slowing down, letting go and resting as we prepare for the reurn of light.

The Sanctuary has brought together four contemporary contemplatives from a range of traditions who will share their own wisdom and experience of embracing darkness, as we wait for the arrival of brighter days.

This year, we welcome Irish Times Columnist and author of A Cloud where the Birds Rise and On Tuesdays I’m a Buddhist, Michael Harding; Franciscan Monk and author of the poem ‘Lockdown’ and the book Still Points, Brother Richard Hendrick; Zen Buddhist nun and author of True Virtue: The Journey of an English Buddhist Nun and Mindfulness: Walking with Jesus and Buddha, Sister Chân Đức;  and Catholic nun and author of Finding Peace and The Sacred Life of Everything, Sr. Stan Kennedy.

The Sanctuary’s Managing Director, Jane Negrych, will also be leading midweek early morning meditations throughout the month of December.
